How to Boost Your Wifi Signal

Choosing the best Wi-Fi channel on your router helps to reduce interference and improve your WiFi signal. Usually WiFi using the 2.4 gigahertz radio band and Each range is divided into a multitude of channels. Each channel is five-MHz different from previous channel; for example if the channel 1 frequency is 2412 MHz, channel 2 will be 2417 MHz.

Sometimes these channels overlap with nearby channels.  Selection of the appropriate channel can increase signal WiFi. Try to choose channels that have low traffic (good or excellent condition).Choosing the channel in the modem`s user web interface is possible.

This app has a feature that shows Statistics of channels around you. To view this page, go to the "channels" tab. Now you should see a page like this:

 

Description:
1. In this section the name of the network you're currently connected to, is displayed. As well as the channel number and the status of the current network channel is visible.
2. If you want to set up a new WiFi and you don`t know what channel you should choose, use this section.By default it displays the channel status without calculating the current network channel. If you want to calculate the status of current WiFi and you don`t want to setup new access point, Go to setting and check "Calculate current Wi-Fi channel in statistics". In the picture above, the current WiFi channel number has not been calculated in the statistics. In this case this statistic is appropriate to set up new access point.

The percentage displayed is based on the number of channels around you and the less is better.
